Quality PCB DesignStart a project

Quality PCB Design Corporation

Senior PCB design, engineered for production.

The private practice of James Rygiol — bringing decades of senior board-level design experience to companies building real-world electronics.

By appointment — Phoenix, Arizona

Capabilities

A focused practice across the work that matters most for production hardware.

01 / High-speed digital

[DDR4/5, PCIe Gen 4/5, multi-gigabit serial links — controlled impedance and signal integrity from spec to fab.]

02 / Mixed-signal layout

[Clean separation of analog and digital domains. Power integrity, low-noise routing, and stack-up planning for sensitive measurement and audio paths.]

03 / RF & wireless

[2.4/5/6 GHz, BLE, Wi-Fi, sub-GHz ISM. Antenna matching, impedance-controlled feeds, and FCC/CE-ready layouts.]

04 / DFM & fab handoff

[Manufacturable boards, not theoretical ones. Reviewed against IPC standards with attention to assembly yield and supply-chain realities.]

About

Built on decades of senior board design.

James Rygiol founded Quality PCB Design Corporation after a long career as a senior PCB designer at [a leading consumer electronics company in Cupertino]. The practice brings the same discipline — controlled impedance, clean power delivery, manufacturable layouts — to companies that need a deeply experienced board designer without staffing one full-time.

The work suits hardware teams in any industry, from early-stage startups validating a first prototype to established product groups handing off a complex layout. Engagements scale from a focused schematic review to full layout, from blank canvas through fab-ready output.

Phoenix-based. Working with United States clients across time zones.

Process

A clear engagement, from first call to fab-ready output.

  1. 01

    Consult

A short call to understand the requirements, schedule, target manufacturing process, and constraints. A fixed-fee quote follows.

  2. 02

    Schematic review

Review or develop your schematic against layout, signal-integrity, and DFM criteria — catching issues before they become rework.

  3. 03

    Layout

Component placement, routing, controlled impedance, power integrity, and design-rule compliance. Iterative reviews against your team's preferences.

  4. 04

    Fab handoff

Gerbers, drill files, BOM, assembly drawings, and pick-and-place. Direct coordination with your chosen fab and assembly house when useful.
